Customer and cheque files encrypted with PGP are sent to Akbasım over the internet and loaded into the system as specified bank cheque printing requests. Akbasım cheque automation first classifies requests according to cheque types and number of pages and puts them into a job queue. The next steps are as follows:

- The first thing to do on the production line is to encode every cheque using E-13B MICR through LPT port.
- Customer information is written onto the MICR encoded sheets using specially preheated lazer printers.
- Hologram labels are stuck onto the cheque sheets which have undergone printing on the productin line to increase security. At the same time status information is queried through RS232 communication port and logged to the database.
- After holograms have been stuck on the sheets every cheque is printed with a unique serial number using an industrial lazer printer.
- At the last step, cheque sheets are cut and made ready for shipment.
